Match the Tile Body to Your Purchasing Brief
Tilvanta Ceramics helps importers, distributors, building-material wholesalers and project buyers review tile body options across ceramic floor tiles, ceramic wall tiles, porcelain floor tiles and ceramic mosaic tiles.
Material selection starts with the intended application and required product characteristics. Share whether the tiles are intended for walls or floors, the installation environment and any project specifications. We assess suitable existing products before reviewing requests that require further development.
A similar surface design can be offered on different tile bodies. Appearance alone does not establish that two products have equivalent technical properties.
Ceramic and Porcelain Product Options
For purchasing purposes, identify whether your brief requires ceramic wall tiles, ceramic floor tiles or porcelain floor tiles. Keep this description consistent across the quotation, sample reference and order specification.
The selected product should be reviewed using its declared characteristics and available supporting documents. Where water absorption, strength or other performance requirements matter, state the required values and test methods in your RFQ.
Ceramic mosaic orders also need confirmation of the individual pieces and sheet configuration. A mosaic appearance does not identify the body material or establish suitability for a particular application.
Confirm Body, Surface and Dimensions Together
The body, glaze or decoration, dimensions and thickness form one product specification. A surface finish available on one product may not transfer directly to another body or format.
Provide your preferred appearance together with the material requirement. We can review whether an existing product matches the brief or whether further sample work is needed. Our surface finishes and glazing options page covers the appearance details to confirm alongside the body.
Special body formulations are not assumed to be available. Requests involving a different composition or unconfirmed material characteristic require a separate feasibility assessment before quotation.
Use Samples and Documents for Material Approval
A sample helps buyers review the visible body, edge, surface and overall product construction. It should carry a clear product reference so the approved item can be identified in subsequent order documents.
Visual review cannot establish water absorption, breaking strength or other measured performance. Where documentation is required, we check the availability of reports for the selected product and identify any additional testing requirements.
Through sample development and approval, confirm what the sample represents and record the specifications that must accompany it. Standard sample preparation typically takes 5–10 working days; additional development or testing requires separate timing and cost confirmation.
Carry the Approved Material into Production
Before production approval, record the selected product reference, body description, dimensions, finish and required documentation. Any proposed substitution should be reviewed before it is accepted for the order.
Agreed checks may cover dimensions, surface appearance, shade, batch identification and packing. These checks support order consistency but do not replace specified performance testing. See tile sorting and production inspection for the related inspection scope.
Packing quantities and weights must also be confirmed for the selected body, size and thickness rather than copied from another item.
Send Your Material Selection Requirements
Include tile category, intended use, dimensions, thickness, finish, quantity per design and destination. Attach project specifications, reference samples and any required test documentation.
For standard tiles, the typical planning MOQ is around 300–500 m² per design. Mass production typically takes around 25–40 days after order details and any required sample are approved. Final quantities, timing, packaging and shipping arrangements are confirmed against the selected product.
